since my best of 2004 died a quick and painless death, what cds did you discover this year that were released in 2003?
for me, the album i’ve listened to the most this year has been the wrens “meadowlands.” such a great album. sort of quarter-life crisis pop. pop for the 5-years-out-of-college-who-wonder-what-the-fuck-happened crowd. “this boy’s exhausted” sort of sums it up:
“lock me in
tied to work
splitting rocks
cutting diamonds

not anymore
