Great femme fatales

Who are the most dastardly, connivving, manipulating, tempting and saucy spider-women of them all?

IMHO:

Most castrating: Nurse Ratched (“One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”)
Sexiest: Matty Walker (“Body Heat”)
Craziest: Alex Forrestt (“Fatal Attraction”)
Most pathetic: Lilly Dillon (“the Grifters”)
Most devious: Eve Harrington (“All About Eve”)
Campiest: Joan Crawford (“Mommy Dearest”)
Funniest: Nurse Diesel (“High Anxiety”)
Most despicable: Bridget Gregory a.k.a. Wendy Kroy (“the Last Seduction”)

A few more good ones:

Phyllis Dietrichsen (Double Indemnity)
Mona Demarkov (Romeo Is Bleeding)
Bridgid O’Shaughnessy (The Maltese Falcon)

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t name one of the greatest femme fatales of all time, from comic books:
Miss Misery (Sleeper)

Feh. Alex Forrest is a mere pretender to the crazy throne held by Norma Desmond.

Christine Helm Vole (Witness for the Prosecution) deserves a mention in the “Most Pathetic” category.

Christa Päffgen - Nico.

Any woman who chews up and spits out Jim Morrison, Tim Buckley, Lou Reed, Brian Jones & Jackson Browne deserves more than just a song written about her

Scarlet O’Hara was pretty devious, conniving and ruthless, and certainly not above using her feminine charms to get what she wanted.
