Great Products (edible or not)

I’m about to go a travelin’ and it occurred to me, for no reason other than I might perish in a firey plane crash, that I should let someone know about some things.

  1. American cheese. Don’t discount it. I was a fan of Swiss cheese for many years and recently went back to American w/ham. It’s great.

  2. Your local supermarket’s doggie bone section. These are usually vacuum wrapped near the beef section and your dog will love them.

  3. Oodles of noodles. For pennies a serving, you can still make great hangover glop that does the trick.

  4. Any type of vanilla lotion. Talk about feeling fresh. A great thing to slather on after the shower.

  5. Plastic bags for travel. A crowd pleaser.

So, share if you want and farewell!

The Sunbeam “Oskar” food processor. Just the right size (not too big, not too little) lots of power, compact size. I just bought a second one on ebay because my daughter took mine and I found I could not live without it.

Parachutes, in case that fiery plane crash scenario really happens.

The new Matrix powerade. Mmmmmm, Matrixy.

“Hey, mine tastes like Trinity! Who’d you get?”

[George Harrison]

It’s been done.

Kicker Zesty Garlic Kicker ketchup

Valassic Zesty Dill pickles

Audiobooks (much preferable to music on a long trip)

Vegemite. I can’t eat toast without it.

Oddly enough, a rice cooker.
I thought my wife was nuts when she spent $200 on one but I now appreciate it’s ability to make perfect rice every time at the push of a button.

Breadmachine and Food Processor.

You may as well take my life before you take those…

Since we’re on the subject:

This little gem is a star in my kitchen. Oneida’s twist top shaker (part #55034) is made from 18-8 high polish stainless steel and has three different apertures. Small hole, large hole and pour spout are all available, merely by rotating the top. Made by Robinson Knife Company, it is a useful and well constructed utensil. They also make a matching mesh top shaker as well. I have several of these in my kitchen for all of my most used spices and condiments. You can find them at Linens and Things.

I’m also rather happy with my Cuisinart Mini-Prep[sup]®[/sup] processor.

Outside the kitchen-- TiVo. As God as my witness, I will never miss Spongebob again.
