:smack: I didn’t read that in the IMDB listing - I only clicked on the poster they had for the movie and tried to find the tagline there…I *knew *I was missing something. :smack::smack:
Around 5 or so years ago there was a space movie with the tagline “if you thought that in space, no one could hear you scream – THINK AGAIN!”
Ummm, I get it, your movie breaks the laws of physics! Gotcha ya! Or, you mean that it is so frigthening that the victims will scream SO LOUD that they will hear you THROUGH THE VACUUM OF SPACE!
Something about that tagline just made me roll my eyes so heard that I’m surprised no one heard me from behind my keyboard.
Thankfully, it didn’t work as advertising because I can’t even remember the title of the movie, much less go see it in theatre.
I won a T-shirt from the New York Daily News’ “Phantom of the Movies” for spotting the tagline from the one-sheet for She Freak: “Filmed on actual locations where it COULD have happened!”
Yeah, as a genral favor, please put the tagline into the post, so we don’t have to pore over the IMDB site and click on cockfighting videos in a vain attempt to figure out what you’re getting at.
Don’t feel bad, I still can’t find the tagline at IMDB. It’s not where it was with other movie listings. If someone hadn’t already posted it, I was gonna request they do.
On a similar note, I always liked the tagline for the otherwise-execrable 1998 American-made Godzilla movie: “SIZE DOES MATTER.”
For recent films, I thought Inception had a great tagline: “Your mind is the scene of the crime.” It actually accomplishes the rare feat of getting the movie’s central conceit across to potential audiences better than the rest of the poster.
Ah, got it. Strange, I see it on the IMDb page now too, though I swear it wasn’t there before. In fact, I even clicked on the taglines link before and it informed me the movie had no taglines. Maybe my company’s firewall was censoring it!
