Great Threads of the Previous Millenium

Since the internet only became mainstream in the late 1990’s, I thought it would be interesting to come up with threads that would have been popular had the internet existed in the past.

For example:

'40s: “Should the US give military aid to England and France in their struggles against Hitler?”

'60s: “Will computers really become as big as houses?”

'70s: “Do you Nixon should resign, and why?”

'80s: “Which song do you like better: USA for Africa’s “We Are the World” or the European’s “Feed the World (Let Them Know Its Christmans Time)”?”

Our poor forefathers and mothers didn’t have the internet available to discuss important (and not so important) issues with people from all over the world. Lets try to list what they would have discussed online.

1860s: “Should Lincoln Free the Slaves?”
