I think of it more as a crime spree story, but I see your point. One of my favorites though. I love the depiction of apathy in all the character’s lives.

I don’t necessarily see these character-driven films. Yes, they involve two strong characters, but the thrust of the films is not the arc of the characters but external plot devices.
