“Eleanor Rigby” is actually in the very common key of E minor. And that opening C to E minor progression happens to fit perfectly with “Space Oddity” in the original key.

Well, it’s got some funkiness with the aeolian (natural minor) and dorian mode vacillation it’s got going on, but I agree in that it’s not in a particular weird key or anything like that.
I just listened to the mash-up. It’s…well…it’s okay for what it is. Sounds like somebody’s initial experimentations into mash-ups.
