Odd, I nominated Parton for the thread, but I think this is the right spot to vote her down.

Now I’ll vote for Dolly Parton, respect and admire her as I do.
It’s actually pretty clear to me that I must vote for Obama.
Dolly Parton
Obama
Fauci
Parton
I said in the last round that -despite having nominated her - I must regretfully let Dolly go, so
Goodbye Dolly
Obama
Parton
Obama
Fauci
Parton
Bye-bye, Dolly. At least you’ve got your body of work and your plethora of awards for the same, including your Grammies and an honorary Oscar, as well as an amusement park named after you…
Neither Obama or Fauci can claim that.
And then there were two…
-“BB”-
A toughie.
But Dolly. I love her “bring everyone together” message, generosity, and the fact that she’s become more sensitive to issues of race than she has been in the past (the “Dixie Stampede” dinner theaters), but I’m voting to oust our remaining contestant who has had to make fewer tough calls than the other two.
Parton.
Our votes this round:
Anthony Fauci: Physician, immunologist, scientist - 2 votes
Barack Obama: President, statesman, lawyer - 4 votes
Dolly Parton: Artist, humanitarian - 9 votes
Dolly Parton, a remarkable person by any measure, can maybe get a good song out of having been on our Top Three list here.
Our Top Two remaining nominees:
Anthony Fauci: Physician, immunologist, scientist
Barack Obama: President, statesman, lawyer
Eliminated

Voting for our next round will end at noon EST on Weds. Aug. 20.
Those who remain are both very impressive people who’ve done much good for their country, but the reach and impact of a POTUS exceeds that of any public-health official, however influential and long-serving. I nominated Barack Obama in the first place, and believe that he is - for all his flaws - the Greatest Living American.
So I now vote for Dr. Fauci.
