Green Day lyrics: "Salud"..?

What is with the word “Salud” being used in some of Green Day’s lyrics. And what is it’s meaning?

I was under the impression that the word was used in some other songs… but it kind of sounded like “so long” with a weird accent or something, and I think that is what it said in the lyrics…
But in any search for lyrics to All The Time, you will find Salud in there… so… what is it?

Salud’s the Spanish word for health, used as a toast when drinking.

Well actually they must be pronouncing it wrong…
in spanish it would be pronounced… Sah-lood
but they pronounce it… Suh-lud

I dunno… :confused:
