Sold in Walmart superstore here with all the other salad dressings. I used to make it myself at home previous to discovering the bottled sold here. You can always do that and just leave out the ingredient you loathe, though the end result will be a bit different. (I remember Rachael Ray making a Caribbean jerk type recipe, and she said “I’m going to put in some of the Caribbean jerk flavors into this dish”. Not all. But it was good anyway!)
I loved Green Goddess when I was a kid. Hadn’t had it in decades.
The SO, for some reason, bought a bottle a few months ago. Not only has it become my salad dressing mainstay, but we’ve also gotten several other people hooked on it.
We tried making it once but without much success. I’ll have to give those recipes a try.
Well, we went to a Super Wally World last night, and I found the Kraft dressing: “Seven Seas Green Goddess.” I carefully read the ingredients, and while there was no cilantro mentioned, I didn’t see anchovy, either. I tried looking around the store for anchovy paste, but they either have it stashed in a dark corner I missed, or it’s not a Super Wally World product. I’ll check Safeway the next time we go.
I’m DYING to put a dab on a lettuce leaf now!
I thought it was interesting that the Kraft label incorporated Seven Seas in the name of the dressing!

The Green Goddess by Kraft does not taste the same, IMHO,…it has a sharper taste…unless I got a few bad bottles…I am a major vinegar fan (I dip my french fries and potato chips in it) but this was gross…
Well, I tried the stuff from Kraft. It’s thinner in consistency than the old Green Goddess dressing. I didn’t get an overpowering vinegar taste, instead, I got a whole lot of BLAND. When I find the anchovy paste, I’ll add that to the rest of the bottled dressing.
2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream (or yogurt)

1 small can anchovy fillets, mashed up
3 finely chopped scallions
2 tablespoons chopped parsley

salt and pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients until thoroughly mixed and smooth.
