Greg Lake R.I.P

I can’t speak for the rest of CSN&Y, but I am pretty sure David Crosby has done it by continually replacing parts as he wears them out.

The Crosby of Theseus?

I just scored some tickets to see P.
mmm

I guess you’re a strictly rock and pop dude?

You should go back and listen to Uncle Dave Macon. He was born in 1870. Yes he’s dead.

To say nothing of Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

I am a fan. I saw ELP live back in the day, fantastic experience. RIP, Greg Lake.

I always liked this ELP tune;

Pirates

Not only is Keith Richards still with us, Mick Jagger just had another baby today. Or rather, his girlfriend did, but he, ahem, contributed. :dubious:

The guy’s a freakin’ great-grandfather, for crying out loud!

p.s. Asia is going to play in my city in a few months, opening for Journey. Saw both bands (although not at the same time) in the early 1980s.

Snotty daughter: He doesn’t exactly hit all those notes.
Horrid wife: Yeah, he’s not much of a singer.
Vastly superior me: Are you kidding? Greg Lake is one of the greatest rock singers ever!

There’s no accounting for taste. Sleep well, Greg. :frowning:

Listening to their albums was really a big part of my teenage years. This really depresses me.

Good interview with Greg in 2012 on TheSound 100.3FM where talks about the “Songs of A Lifetime” tour.

And In the Court of the Crimson King. Sigh.

So much for “the show that never ends.”

Shit, my big brother introduced me, and ELP was my “first” rock group. RIP

This fucking year.

To say ELP were an influence on me would be a gross understatement.

I’ve been critical of your contributions, Mr. Lake, but I’ll miss you deeply.

Lake was always the smooth voice of reason in the musical madness of King Crimson and ELP. Ooooh, what a lucky man he was.
