Groucho Marx vs Truman Capote

My first post since back when they started charging money here.

  1. The Dick Cavett show. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPfqMgtqqu4

Groucho Marx has just finished his turn as guest, and out comes Capote. Similary format to the Tonight Show, the first guest is supposed to sit quietly while the host focuses on the next guest.

But Groucho won’t shut up. And Capote has no idea how to deal with it.

Check the second half when Groucho proposes to Capote! The man had no mercy.
I think Cavett planned it.

I’ve only watched the first part, so far, but I thank you for posting that link.

Nope. I don’t think Cavett planned this. Just my opinion.

I was kidding. Cavett was the best host ever.

Groucho Marx and Milton Berle could be attention-whoring jerks.

“Hurray for Captain Spaulding, the African Explorer …”

And Groucho would have horsewhipped him if he had a horse
