Growing Grass in a drought. Should I hang up my hose?

Of course it would depend on the type of grass (I should have added that). We use drought resistant varieties. A lush, English style grass would not last very long here.

In late 2010 when we returned from being away for a few months the grass had turned bright yellow. I have never seen anything like it. Looked like it had died of jaundice. Didn’t take long to get back though.

It is supposed to cover the yard in two to three years, so don’t hold your breath.

I’ve heard that. But is there any reason you can just buy more plugs to get faster coverage?

No, just cash flow.

It arrives in strips that are sort of cut into small squares. You have to rip or cut them apart. If you had enough money you could just lay the strips down like sod.

An attachment for an electric drill makes easy holes to plant in. Mrs. Plant had me check that my life insurance was paid up before I began.
