I was going to say “Beetlejuice” or “13 Ghosts,” but the William Castle bit threw me. I went to IMDB (is that cheating?), and I’m going to say “The Old Dark House.”

“Crossroads,” with Ralph Macchio?

You cheated didn’t you. I just posted that I was watching that in my LJ.

No, really. I was reading a reply from Gingy in my journal, but don’t even have my Friends page open.

I knew it was that one. I love that movie. Ralph Macchio is so cute.

To Jack Batty and Kinsey: No. 8 was The Three Stooges Go around the World in a Daze (in the story, they were traveling with Phileas Fogg IV, the great-grandson of the original Fogg); No. 5 was indeed 13 Ghosts (1960.) I saw it in the movie house–the Palms Theater in Culver City, CA–when it included the prologue and epilogue by Castle. As moviegoers entered the doors they were handed 3D viewers. One of the “ghosts” was a burning skeleton!

ooh ooh! some dudes go to the amazon to catch this creature from a black lagoon.

I was thinking of the more recent “13 Ghosts.”
The one with Tony Shalhoub.

Anaconda?

Har har.

An unwanted travelling companion sparks off life-changes that make a couple reassess their relationship.

A con-man experiences the fury of a rural community after he impersonates the son of a rich local celebrity.

“Six Degrees of Separation”

DING!

Six Degrees of Separation
Not bad, but not the one…

The Bells of St. Mary* - ?

Solaris

Jack Batty, the DING! meant you were right.
