Guess the movie from the props

Warmer, but still no. I can’t think of any other props to mention from that movie. Anyone else want to take a crack at it?

Props #11

Also still unanswered:

Flamethrower
Police badge

Boom box
Shotgun
Bank bag of money
Porsche keys

That’s the one.

Still unsolved, with a couple more:

A prosthetic hand
Mirrors
An elevator
A dinghy
A cobra
A claw
A spear
Broken bottles
A type of flail

Nope.

I meant feathermoss, though now I’m imagining what “fathermoss” could possibly be - maybe that fungus that’s the World’s oldest living thing?

#25?

Correct.

Here are two more each for my as-yet-unanswered movies:

Props #11
hammer
coffee cup

Props #16
helmet
dry bone

Props #17

====================

I’m assuming I haven’t seen these movies, but just in case I have, I’m unable to pull up a specific movie from your clues.

Do you have any props that are unique to these movies? If you already mentioned them, then I’m at a loss. Sorry to let these just sit here this long, but I can’t help with guesses.

I’m wracking my brains, and no, nothing unique. Should I just post the answers?

Well, I thought I knew every tuba movie. You’re going to have to put me out of my misery on #11.

Sure, even though I’m halfway sure i’m going to go :smack: when you do.

At least we can move on to a new set of stumpers.

Maybe – if I have seen any of them – I can think of a unique prop. There are so many one-prop movies. Like:

eggs
sled
shower
umbrella
statue of a bird
falling house facade
oversized toy floor piano
oil gusher (okay maybe two movies on this one)

the list could still be going at 50 or more.

I have padded mine that could be one-prop movies just to be sure. Probably made them too easy.

Your call. Maybe others want to cogitate further…

Here goes:

11 - Breaker Morant
16 - 2001: A Space Odyssey
17 - The Hidden
18 - Dark City

I have seen (11), (16) and (18), and just maybe (17), but long enough ago that those props didn’t ring any bells.

I might have gotten (16) with monolith, but the dry bone didn’t trigger the monkey scene for me.

The others are just too vague in my memory.

Thanks for the answers.

Do some more! Tantalizing.

I’ve seen 16.

I think monolith would have been too obvious, but I never would have figured it out based on the clues.

As for 18, which Dark City? The old film-noir one (which I haven’t seen), or the neo-noir one with Connelly and Sutherland (which I have)? (I’m guessing the latter.)

I think “syringe” might have helped with that one. “Rowboat” might have as well.

Props #28

diamonds
dentist’s drill

Props #29

bowler hat
flying circus

Props #30

teletype
parking garage

All the President’s Men

A teletype is set dressing, and a garage is more a set than a prop, no?

I wouldn’t call the 2001 monolith a prop either. It’s touched but not actually handled, which is what I thought distinguished a prop from set dressing.

The Dark City I meant was indeed the more recent neo-noir one. Love that movie. Hadn’t thought of syringe or rowboat, but you’re right.

Right on all counts.

Props #31
coconut shell
pen
microphone
telephone
calendar

Props #32
bandages
typewriter
briefcase
suitcase
pop bottle

Props #33
cellphone
pistol
knife
photograph
bow and arrow

Still unsolved, so I’ll add some more and some clarifications.

Props #8

A prosthetic hand made of iron
a Hall of Mirrors
An elevator
A Chinese junk
A dinghy
A cobra
A prosthetic hand made into a claw
A radio transmitter
A spear
Broken bottles
A type of Japanese rice flail adapted for use as a weapon

#8?

Reposting mine (with added clues):

#20

Pen
Joint
Pie
Chess pawn
Sausage
Paddle-ball
Shovel

#21

Frying pan
Coins
Children’s book

#22

Garter belt
Ironing board
Billiard ball
Chicken bones
Glass of Scotch
Guitar
