All right, I’ll cut to the chase. On the Welcome menu on AOL, the first thing that popped up was Guiliani and his little stance on Osama Bin Laden.
Now, backing off, the guy’s been out of office for a year now, and the fact that he’s still milking his fame from 9/11 is bad enough. But now he wants to be Bin Laden’s executioner? Um…okay. You’ve got no authority to do so, but sure, let’s satisfy the whims of the ex-mayor.
The guy comes off as no better than a little boy who wants to revenge his classmate for knocking down his tower of blocks. I mean, you hear young uneducated guys saying things like, “Yeah let’s kill Osama!” and similar testosterone fueled threats.
Sorry, but this little statement has just reduced Guiliani to nothing more than an immature, and rather disgusting, human being.
All right, no profanity, I know. Um…hm, the guy can go felch a goat?
In what respect, Libby? When you say he got it all wrong, shouldn’t you point out wherein he is wrong? And that last little shot was most unkind. After all, some of your best friends are morons.
Is Rudy! a self-absorbed, attention mongering asshole? Is the Bear Catholic? Does the Pope shit in the woods?
Hmm. Thanks for the ever so nice comment, Lib. Right back at you.
I don’t see how I misunderstood. He literally, not figuratively, wants to be the one who executes bin Laden. That’s what I’m ranting about. No misunderstanding here.
Okay, sure, people want to kill the guy, but the mayor suddenly gets cart blanche to do it himself? Sorry if I think that’s pushing New York-ism too far. Al-Quada obviously affected a lot of people, and presiding (or is it mayoring?) over New York City over a time of crisis doesn’t get you the reward of getting to kill a guy.
Did he ask for legislation to make him the executioner? Did he demand to be the executioner? Or was he simply filled with rage and expressing it, even though he knew he couldn’t be the executioner, he wanted to be - I don’t see anything wrong with that. I think you’re overreacting a bit.
Your analogy might make sense if the tower of blocks held 3,000 little people who got burned and crushed when they collapsed. As it is, though, I find your comparison of the demise of the Twin Towers to a child’s toy rather … insensitive and lacking in any semblance of compassion.
So now violence is only the domain of the uneducated? Odd, I have an education and am a professional - so are the bulk of my friends - yet all but a few of us have expressed the desire to kill Osama. I guess we’re just a bunch of dumb hicks or somethin’ - hyuk hyuk.
You call it uneducated. I call it seeking justice. To each their own, but if my uneducated stance comes to fruition, you won’t have to worry about Osama knocking down any more of your toys.
Odd, I don’t recall anyone passing a law against you trashing on Giuliani to your heart’s content. They might disagree with you, but their opinions are every bit as valid as…
Zoggie, he said to Bush that he wants to be the executioner 3 days after the attack. That close to an event, people say lots of things like that. The only reason you’re hearing about it now is that Giuliani included that exchange in his new book. It isn’t like he said YESTERDAY that he want’s to be the executioner.
Giuliani didn’t pick that passage and shove it down your throat, the media did, blame them.
Lib, Hizzoner is promoting (promoting… promotING) his new book, and rather proudly discussing (…ing) his response to Bush on September 14. Giuliani has made it quite clear that, upon sober reflection, exercising the self-control afforded by time and distance, he chooses to remain a self-aggrandizing little prick.
What about him telling the Saudi Prince guy to keep his 10 million dollars and not allowing him to donate that money to the victims fund because the Prince had different political opinions then Rudy and dared to speak them?
Fucking Giuliani!
