Guitar Chord Generator

I’m transposing a piece of music from piano to guitar and would like to add a rhythm guitar, but the piece consists mostly of just a simple melody. Is there any site or application that allows me to enter three or four notes from the melody and have it return a list of chords that contain those notes?

This does sort of what you are looking for: Reverse Guitar Chord Name Finder With Sound, Vertical Fretboard

This kind of works, too: Chord Identifier - Reverse Chord Finder - Search chord by notes but it doesn’t do 7th chords, so it’s fairly useless.

Yup, that’s what I’m looking for. Not very pretty, but it does what I need. Thanks.

How about one that shows me all the chords in one key and then shows me their counterparts when I change keys?

I found this: Guitar chords and music transposition

Again, not pretty, but it seems to do the job.

Thanks!

Once you include 6th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, etc. chords, with all the possibilities of diminished and augmented variants in addition to major and minor, the number of chords that any given note can be used in approaches infinity. Basically, any note at all can be fit into any chord at all, if you contrive them enough. For practicality, if I were designing this feature, it should include a filter that can be set to various levels of intricacy, to return results ranging from only basic triads to diminished 13th inversions or crazy chords or whatever.
