A bunch of my girlfriends are doing this and it sounds SO neat - we each fix 4 extra family-size servings of dinner and then trade them on a weekly basis. Lots of Pyrex changing hands.
Got any suggestions for tasty, freeze-and-heat-later meals?
The things I’m accustomed to making are done on the stovetop, I’m not sure how well they’ll freeze. I do go to www.epicurious.com for my recipes on the rare occasion when I cook, so it’s good stuff. My friends aren’t expecting something outrageous, they’ve been trading lasagne and chili and the like.
Like this one would be perfect - Moroccan Chicken and Lentils - it’s really delicious, but do lentils freeze well?
I know potatoes don’t freeze well at all.
psst, hey Zsofia, btw, it’s a good dish w/cheap ingredients!
