Gun control idea

So you think non tagged ammo will be abundant, cheap, and reliable 25 years from now if we start tagging today?

I’ve mentioned this upthread, the second tagging becomes law, pre-tag bullets will rise in cost, and diminish in quantity. And the ones in perfect condition will become rarer and rarer, so the average reliability will drop steadily.

And being pedantic with my wording, and saying that bullets will last *forever *is goofy. The protons in the ammo will eventually decay.

No, it wouldn’t. You’re starting to babble like all the other antis did about all the other gun control laws that were supposed to do so much but did nothing, except infringe on the rights of everybody.

There’s always the next law that we need, isn’t there? There’s always just one more thing we need to do, right? And when that doesn’t work, they’ll be another. And another, and another.

The trouble with your position, is that it’s unthinking. New Law = DOUBLEPLUSBAD!!1

If no other gun laws existed, something like universal background checks would be reasonable. It really seems like you use terms like *babble * and *antis *above because you see every comment, even by people who like guns and support the right to bear them as an attack if they divert from your no new laws ever!!111 position.

I’m almost getting this…what does it mean??

I agree; I owned a rifle for a long time, shot many more, and find myself more often than not taking the side of responsible firearm usage. But then I hear the calls from the NSA to arm school teachers or let everybody carry their .38 into a Toy’s R’Us, and I just feel ashamed for fellow gun users. By virtue of volume and vitriol, that half-angry/half-paranoid argument against any form of gun control sets the debate, and achieves nothing except to piss people off on both sides.

Also, if “not ever being inconvenienced even the slightest bit” is a priority in life, then living in the US, or really any place with humans within a 50 mile radius, is already a bad starting point.

The NSA is doing that? Far out!

You are aware, newbie, that private businesses can legally post signs prohibiting carry of weapons on their property (not that criminals obey these signs) and that most businesses actually don’t post these signs. And other than perhaps exception to peace officers nobody has pushed any law infringing on private businesses/property owners right to prohibit weapons on/in their business.

And then you go on to say this

So we can see that it **is **your position.
