You mean, you don’t spend your summer weekends in the Hamptons?
What, are you also going to tell me you don’t own your own penthouse suite in downtown Manhattan with its own built-in private Learjet? Or that you don’t play Polo for relaxation? My goodness, you must be destitute!
Hey, now. The Oxygen channel has Sunday Night Sex Talk and Talk Sex With Sue, two versions of the same fantastically great show. Don’t be dissin’ on the Oxygen channel (although I have no idea what else they show.)
Anybody else seen the Lifetime movie with Delta Burke and Swoozy whatshername about the evil stepmother who killed their baby sister in the way back when? It’s utter crap, but every time it comes on I find myself locked in. It’s like my brains fall out of my ears or something. But I dig Golden Girls. Remember the one where they talk about when they lost their virginity? Comedy gold.
And that Swoosie Kurtz/Delta Burke movie is called “A Promise for Caroline”. I must have seen it 12 times, in bits and pieces, because all my mother watches on the weekends is Lifetime and they show it about three times a month.
Personally, I think Delta Burke did white trash South’ner so much better (and more entertainingly) in Sordid Lives…
My point exactly. Lifetime is geared toward frustrated housewives, but it turns its viewers into man-hating lesbians – which is the viewership that Oxygen seems to be geared for.
“Mother May I Sleep with Danger?” is very bad, so you have to watch it. Not as bad as the Tori Spelling where she plays the college girl who becomes a hooker, but still bad.
I’ve watched it from time to time. I enjoy Golden Girls. I enjoy a few other things it has.
But I also don’t watch a channel, I watch shows. ESPN has lots of things I wouldn’t watch unless you paid me. Hallmark shows old eps of Mash, Nick shows Happy Days and such, sometimes comedy channels show good stuff. It’s about the show, not the channel. TBS shows this more than anything. I watch some movies there, baseball when it’s on, but some of the stuff they have on there is just totally not me.
