VPL rates up there with shoelace aglets on the list of shit I don’t really care about one way or the other. I can’t remember a time where I noticed a panty-line and thought either “eeeeeeewww” or “omg wowzers! that’s so hot”. It’s not the panties or thongs or lack there-of that is making a person attractive or not.
Neither of these two people have a visible panty line: Possibly NSFW*.
I do. And yes, seeing the subtle outline of a woman’s panties under her pants is very erotic. Just like seeing a bra strap under a gauzy blouse. It’s another iteration of the principle that a half-dressed woman is twice as sexy as an undressed one.
Whale tales, on the other hand, are just tacky. I realize I am probably in a minority here, but I find a well-shaped derriere in a pair of cotton Hanes Her Ways far, far more arousing than the same butt in a thong. Especially if she’s wearing a sports bra and a baseball cap with a ponytail. Yowza!
Victoria’s Secret? Pfft. Fruit of the Loom For Her? Hey now!
The girl on the left appears to have a nice little tushy but yeah, that is tacky as hell. Really though, the problem there is the low riding jeans she’s got on. Please tell me *that *trend is coming to an end (no pun intended). How does one not realize their whole ass is exposed anyway?
I don’t even know why women care about it. Panties are panties. Yes, I wear them, and it’s not the end of the world for someone else to see them and know OMG! I wear panties.
Just another thing for women to be worried about. WELL I OPT OUT
Women care about it because Cosmo (and its ilk) tells them to care. Honestly, I don’t know why so many women pay attention to that sort of thing. Don’t they notice it’s the same 20 sex tips in every issue?
I can’t speak for all women, but I “care” to whatever extent, in the same way I pay attention to any other aspect of my personal grooming / dressing habits. It looks much nicer to *not *have panty lines than to have them, and since it’s so easy to avoid I see no reason not to make the small effort (for me; I may not find them attractive but I promise I’m not keeping a list or looking down on anyone. It’s just a split second “that outfit could like a bit better” never give it another thought kind of thing).
You don’t like? It pleases me. We long waisted gals get to have our chance now. Obviously it’s not going to look good on certain figures but then again, that never seems to stop most people.
Yeah, actually you’re kind of right. It looks weird when they start plucking them, or even worse, shave them off and paint a line… wtf is up with that?
Women PLEASE stop listening to fashion people and marketing, they are NOT your friends. You are perfectly fine the way you are.
If you want to spend your time and money on something to make you more attractive, the secret key is Yoga. That will make you relaxed, happy and healthy, which is super hot. It also has an added bonus of making you more flexible, sensitive and better at giving birth… which kind of fits nicely into the scheme of things.
That’s a bit of a rude opening statement, but aside from that, I don’t participate in any painful removal of hair or the growing or attaching of detrimentally long nails. I only buy shoes that are comfortable (though I will concede that they are most certainly not good for my body) and I love the way they look on me. I’ve not seen any evidence that I’m being poisoned or suffering damage from my cosmetics. The sun, sure, the many years I’ve smoked, definitely, but on the main I look better, skin wise, than most of the women I know who are my age or close to it.
Not trying to pick a fight; I certainly respect your opinion, but it is just that. Enjoy all the relaxed, happy, healthy yoga doing women you want. Just know that they don’t corner that market nor does the rest of the male population necessarily share your preferences.
I don’t care if you care, or if anyone else cares, about their own ass. I mean, I get my eyebrows threaded, which is pretty unnecessary, but I like the way it looks. It’s when women start judging other women for not caring I get bothered. I don’t tell other people to get their eyebrows done, I don’t want to be told I need to care about VPL or panty line at all.
Actually I don’t even need you to “not look down on anyone”. Judge away, my friend! I judge people all the time- but as long as we keep it to ourselves, no one is the wiser!
Ugh. Who are you to tell me what I should or shouldn’t do and why? I like to, is all. I don’t use press on nails or wear high heels, but I do have long nails and long hair. I don’t have to do manual labor, why not? I like the way it looks. I certainly like to look presentable to outsiders, but mostly I just like what it does for me.
