Welcome to magellanland, and join me in looking forward to the end of the season with great sadness.
Has anyone checked to see if Rachel Maddow has any time open on her schedule that night?
There’s no way the change would favor Palin. She’s been practicing to face Ifill as much as she’s been practicing to face Biden.
Biden would have a much easier time adjusting to a new moderator than Palin would.
Not only that, but if there were a change that people perceived to benefit Palin, the bar would be higher.
The McCain camp is foolish, but not foolish enough to go ahead with a debate with a different moderator.
Have you seen the Desert Walrus in the Olmert Israel Threadin GD?
Can she lie on her back with her hips over her head?
I have to admit, my first thought was - no, you’re not going to make Rachel Maddow pee in her own face! Then I realized we were back to talking about moderators. :smack:
Okay, how about Mélissa Theuriau?
Moderator? Peeing? Sure, whatever.
It is very important to remember that you need to breathe through your mouth when doing this. Srsly.
I’m sure there are websites specifically dedicated to it.
And you know this because…
Way TMI!
Because tax policy is supposed to apply to all citizens, and all citizens can vote. Writing a book that will make significantly more money if a candidate wins is something that a supposedly objective moderator should not be subject to.

Shodan
U.P.: up.
Clearly, she should recuse herself. No one with her irresistable profit motive and her unchecked power over the pliable minds of the American electorate should be allowed anywhere near a podium…
I am just a bit curious as to HOW you think she will tilt the debate in Biden’s favor? And what effect it would have on the campaign.
Significantly? She will be lucky to make $1-$1.50 for each book sold. So how many copies do you think she will sell? And how many more if Obama becomes president?
Ah, Cervaise, the great cowardly sniping assface. You come in here, and follow me around elsewhere to register your displeasure with me. Though mighty tears fall from my eyes, you never offer any substance. This thread is a perfect example. You just drop your snide little stupidity, but never prove why what you say is to be taken seriously. There is a debate here. Proof of that is that people have actually weighed in in that regard. But you seek to dismiss, rather than disprove; insult rather than investigate; be an asshole instead of a contributor.
At least you’re consistent. Don’t stop being you.
Why don’t you then point out the premise and show where it is irrational. Not just wrong, mind you, in your estimation, but irrational.
You can, of course, sidle up to the sniping Cervaise and adopt his “style”. Your choice.
Uh tumuhfuhyuh yuhyuhuh Uhfuh!
I’m a registered Independent. Never voted for Bush and am not thrilled with McCain, so you’d be wrong there.
Now you know what I’v been spouting my whole life? Tell me, what did I tell my boss when he told me he wanted Bush as the candidate in 2000?
It could, yes. But that’s not the point. The point is that based on book sales have gone in the past, and barring some unseen event, book sales will go up if Obama wins. Logic favors that scenario, even if it allows for the other.
McCain is a failure? Wow, you have an interesting definition of failure. Not one based on reality, but interesting nonetheless. And to say that Pain is uneducated simply reveals YOUR partisan bias. You may believe she is not up to the job, or not sufficiently educated from and academics standpoint for it, but “un”. No, hun, sorry.
“ignorant ass” should be hyphenated. So, I guess that makes you the ignorant one. I win!
