Gym Machines You No Longer See

Just did today.
This is how I do them:
You start sitting up. Partner tosses the ball to you, aiming maybe 1.5’ above your head. You catch the ball, with outstretched arms, and let the momentum tilt you back. You continue all the way back, keeping your arms outstretched, then do a situp, and toss the ball back. All the time, trying to keep your arms extended. The extra weight and leverage with the ball makes the situp harder.

Thanks! I kinda like the images of my version better, but either way, avoiding concussion from my head bouncing off the floor would be my biggest concern. I think I will dig out my no longer seen exercise machine that raises my heart and respiration rates by watching scary movies in a recliner with beer and chips to hand.

Do rowing machines still exist in places that aren’t just dedicated gyms for rowers?

Yep, I go to a cardiac rehab place that has 3 of the rowing machines.

What happened to those huge ab rocking rolling things? My first university gym was and likely still is an embarrassment, but they had a few of those…

I have one in my home gym upstairs, next to my exercise bike and resistance equipment.

Every crossfit gym has multiple rowing machines. All the campus gyms and GoodLifes I have seen have one or a few. They are small and flat and easy to not see. Most dedicated rowers train outside, though I am sure they use machines as well.
