I don’t really care that much because Sony is a big target with billions of dollars and if they can’t secure themselves or at least deal properly with the aftermath I don’t really feel that sorry for them.
Big corporations tend to be good at making and wasting lots and lots of money. Not so good at getting little details right.
It seems that every few months, another big corporation gets hacked. Target, Home Depot, whoever. At least this hack hasn’t spilled millions of customers’ credit info. Why should we care more about this one than the others?
Sorry, but this one’s about #1,273 on the RTFirefly Worry Priority List. I think the Target and Home Dopey hacks each got into the top thousand.
Call me a conspiracy nut (or maybe I’m just cynical about US intelligence), but I don’t put a lot of stock in the belief that NK is behind this. Maybe it is. I wouldn’t put it past NK to do something like this. But I will not be the least bit surprised if new intelligence reveals that NK was framed. Or that Sony itself is involved. I don’t trust anything I hear anymore.
We really wouldn’t. Well, some weirdos would get upset, but “terrorism” seems completely the wrong word, anyway.
Not only that, but the President is a public figure, in the public domain, and people can do what they want with his likeness. The USA is literally big enough to shrug jokes like that off, and too big to get that upset (officially, or even unofficially for the most part) about them.
