Had Shake Shack for the first time....

…and it was awesome!

I had the SmokeShack which is basically a bacon Cheese Burger with chopped peppers on it and a Shack-cago dog which is a hot dog with a bunch of veggies. The dog was very good but not great but the burger was one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. Very flavorful and juicy.

It was a really long wait, first the line took almost a half hour, then you wait again while they fulfill your order but I have to say, it was worth it. I will definitely go back, just making sure I am not in rush when I do.

They have a good truffle burger too.

They always have the longest line at Nationals Park.

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago, and I tried the Shake Shack attached to New York New York. I got a hamburger (no cheese) with all the regular toppings, cheese fries, and a lemonade.

The burger was good. It wasn’t life-changing or anything, but it was assembled well, the vegetables were extremely fresh, and the burger had just a bit of pinkishness in the middle that I wasn’t expecting.

I was honestly more impressed with the cheese fries - the sauce was definitely based on a sharp cheddar and it had a much livelier flavor than you’d normally get from a cheese sauce pumped over fries.

Wait time was maybe 10-15 minutes. There wasn’t nearly enough seating inside the restaurant proper (and no way in Hell was I going to eat on the outside deck in Vegas in mid-August), but I was able to snag a seat just before my order came up.
