I once saw a TV documetary on a women’s prison that had a full-service salon as part of a vocational program in it. IIRC it serviced both inmantes and guards/prison staff.
Not something I usually tell, but I was in county jail once. Nail clippers could be “checked out” to inmates. Actually some of the women in my cell used them to trim each others hair.
