I and my son recently got a case of lice from a friends jacket.
I went and got some Nix(just used it,works good so far).
My hair is really long.
Iwas thinking my hair stylist bleaches my hair and puts it under a dryer when its highlighted.
Maybe this would be a good thing.
I called the dr.and the nurse was like hairdressers are not allowed to treat people who have it.
(I am treating again and again if need be before my appointment so no biggie).
But I took my son to a hair place and had them burr cut it.
Was this bad?
Don’t they sterilize?
This could be really bad if you haven’t gotten rid of the lice yet. The hairsalons are regulated by the states and they could be shut down if anyone finds out they’ve treated people with lice (the states are very strict to prevent lice transmission). They do sterilize the combs but there are plenty of other things that could harbor the lice (such as the customer aprons, the back of the chairs, maybe even the trimmers, etc.). Just make SURE you’ve gotten rid of the lice (and that you haven’t picked them up from your son) before either of you go back to the salon. Your sone must not have had active lice when you took him to get his hair cut or the barber would have noticed.
(Unfortunately, I know this through an extremely embarrassing personal experience I had at age 13 )
>> I and my son recently got a case of lice
I wasn’t aware lice were sold by the case.

What do you call this brand of English again?
Sailor, if you’d rather not address the questions, then we’d rather you didn’t comment at all. I’ve noticed today, several snarky GQ replies from you.
It was intended as a joke ( I hope that is obvious) and not intended to be snarky. I trust jokes are allowed. No snarkiness intended, sorry if there was any misunderstanding.
Okay. No problems then.
Shoot, Uncle,we had just been to the dr. (after using a treatment a few days earlier).
He saw them in us both.
I went and bought a better treatment (which seems to have worked; plus much laundry doing).
I love my long hair,so took an hour combing it all out.
Since my son is a boy, I figured a burr cut would make it easier.
The lady didn’t say anything, she used one of them electric shavers.
I couldn’t do that at home, but I see it was not a good thing.
I hope she cleaned up.
Hairdressers treating people with lice you say?
Doesn’t sound much of a treat to me.
We have a hairdresser who visits the house; on those occasions when my kids have been affected by the lice, she has been quite helpful in advising how to deal with them.
