Half-pipe Grooming for Snowbording

I used to live in Ketchum, Idaho and still miss it. I sometimes go and look at he webcams on the mountain to alleviate my nostalgia. Looking at the half-pipe picture, though, got me thinking: how do they groom half-pipes. The wear and tear on the top edgews must be rough and I can’t imagine anyone’s out there grooming by hand in the wee small hours of the morning.

I tried to hook up a link to some Sun Valley shots but couldn’t. Anybody got an idea?I know sno-cats don’t like going up 90 degree inclines and the length seems to preclude hand grooming.

I should add that the cam views are readily accessible from Sun Valley . com or some such. And boy does it look like a pretty day…
