So I thought they’d had a change of heart, as I’d heard nothing from them but the sound of crickets for almost a full damn week, but he got back to me six days later, apologized for the delay, and we’re moving ahead. I have my assignment, it’s kicking my ass, but I have it.
I used Hedda Rosa’s approach. “Hi, twas great talking to you, I want to marry you and your company, I look forward to you sending the shit you said you would. Best regards and all of that.”
Ok, this made me laugh out loud! Thanks to you and all who are sharing job interview stories; just got laid off myself, and I really hate looking for new work, blech. I need to favorite these threads just to read them so I’m more relaxed when heading to my own interviews.
