I was watching old SNL episodes and Toonces came on and I immidiately thought that these two ought to get together and collaborate. I don’t know why but it seems so natural. A two-legged dog and a cat who could drive a car.
That could explain plausibly how Halvsie became Halvsie, the two-legged dog.
Toonces is a really bad driver.
I’ve seen a two-legged cat (accident victim) on Animal Planet.

my friend’s parents had a three-legged dog. when it died last year they got a three-legged cat. i swear to god. could halvsie have his own two-legged feline bond girl?
A good friend of mine had a 3-legged dog in the house.
Anyway, she gets things confused sometimes, and would tell
people that he was a ONE-legged dog, sort of a dyslexic
count-the-legs-missing-instead-of-the-ones-left type thing.
Man, it was so funny. She couldnt figure out why people
were dying to come see this one-legged dog who apparently got around just as well as a fully equipped one!
