I skimmed through the previous thread I found on Hancock and didn’t see anything about this, but I won’t claim to have read closely.
Am I the only one who felt like Smith spent the entire first half of the movie looking like he had a bad toothache? I was completely, wholly prepared for them to “reveal” that the reason Hancock was such a dickhead (notice I didn’t use the A-word) was that he had an abscess or something. The way he held his mouth, the volume of liquor he drank, the way he only ate soft food, even the way when he ate that his tongue would go over and probe repeatedly the area around his upper left canine.
This all seemed like very intentional stuff, and none of it had any payoff at all.
Is it just me?
