In the late 90’s I used to travel to Finsbury Park in London to see concerts ( Pulp were especially good) This character used to deliver hate speech in and outside Finsbury Mosque. I actually listened to the Fucker! If he had just left his venom spouted out on the road opposite the mosque he could have been dismissed as just another religious hater.
But no his poison continued.
Jailed in the UK, and wanted on charges of aiding terrorism by the US authorities.
Finally going to be extradited after his appeals to the euro courts were dismissed.
I myself have not been in the UK for over 12 years and really don’t keep up with the news or maintain much of an interest in brit politico.
But am pleased this piece of scum is off across the pond to start a new life in a US Supermax. ( after a trial of course)
I’m not a big fan of the US’s insistence on getting all the undesirables in the world extradited to the US for trial; it strikes me as hamfisted bully-boy tactics. OTOH I’m not an Abu Hamza fan either by any means.
Tell you what: Abu Hamza can be sent to the US on the condition that he gets made the host of Larry King’s old show and Piers Morgan goes into a supermax prison instead. Everyone wins!
Abu Hamza is still a human being and the conditions at a Supermax should not be applied to any human being under any circumstances.
I also agree with Gyrate that these last gasps of the US as world police ™ will not be forgotten, nor should they be, in a few years time when it is less able to bully everyone else.
