Happy Belated 90th (12-16) Birthday, Sir Arthur C. Clarke

The Grandmaster turned 90 on Sunday. Never a fan of his novels, preferred his short fiction from the 40s and 50s.

I remember hoping in 2000 that he would make it until at least 1-1-2001 (he suffers from post-polio syndrome and is wheelchair-bound). Now, I’m thinking he may see 2010 in with us.

Sir Rhosis

Seconded. A towering figure in post-WW2 science fiction, and commonly recognized as the inventor of the communications satellite.
