Can anyone help me figure out who manufactures Happy Boy margarine? Endless googling and reading margarine manufacturer .pdfs has been to no avail. I think it might be Japanese, but I can’t even confirm that.
It’s distributed by Keller’s Creamery in Harleysville Pennsylvania.
You want I should take a ride up there and beat it out of them?

Jeff Lowenfels!
This is of course alleged, the National Lampoon thing makes me wonder. :dubious:
Hmmmmm…thanks for the offer (and the answer!) but that’s okay, no need for violence!
It was produced from about 1953 until at least 1976 by the Hotel Bar company out of NY. Lowenfelds great-grandfather started the company, his dad owned it. His brother ran it until the 1980’s at least.
Mongo. Are you saying that you can still find that brand with Lowenfeld’s smiling face on it in Pennsylvania?

I can look around if you want.
Margarine for Everybody. Woohoo!!!
I can walk down the street to the Russian market and buy it. My last confirmed citing was last week when I bought some cheese.
I can’t help thinking that anything called “Happy Boy Margarine” would make a perfect lubricant.
OK, Johnny, just one more stick!
