Happy Easter!

To the Christians who celebrate Easter today, I hope you have a joyous day celebrating and remembering The Resurrection!!

And to you, too. And to those who aren’t Christians, happy gratuitous three day weekend!

b.

Four days.

(I get Good Friday, too. And I’m not even Christian! Such a deal.)

Mind if I ask a question here?

In NZ, we start the Easter break from Good Friday and go to the day after Easter Sunday. In another thread, it was mentioned how Easter begins in some places on Easter Sunday.

What’s the story with the rest of the world? (Those countries with Easter on the public holiday calendar, o’course!)

God is good

Western and Eastern Xianity have different ways of calculating the holiday. I know in the Western tradition, Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox. I don’t know how the Eastern tradition calculates it.

Any takers?
