Happy Holiday Season!

I never thought of the Goldfinger nickname - love it!

It is the end of the Christmas season for my little town except for the local Ukrainian church which celebrates orthodox Christmas on January 7th this year.

Merry Christmas to all my orthodox celebrants.

We used to go to my in-laws’ place, in the next town over, for T-Day and Xmas, but they moved to Philly in October '23. We went down there for Xmas '24, but this time we had a very quiet day with just the three of us. (Ten of us if you count the cats, but they don’t seem to do anything special for holidays.) Now we’re in one of my favourite parts of the year – the post-holiday candy sales! And other goodies, too: lebkuchen, chocolates, marzipan, &c.

Pretty good, minus a nasty bout of gastroenteritis on the night of the 25th. It was, at least, mercifully brief.

Beyond that it was really busy, we had five ADHD eval/testing/results appointments for my kid and there was a lot of stuff going on with him. But I got in a few solid days of home organization which was really high on my list of wants, and I got to play a video game.

(He did get his Dx. I hope this leads to a better outcome for him at school.)
