As I’m sure you all know, today is Leap Day. And a very special one. It’s the only one to fall in a century year since 1600 and the only on a millenium year until 4000 (and I know that the century/millenium really starts on 1, not 0.) So let’s party!
Whoops- 4000 will not be a leap year, so the next millenial leap year will be 6000. And it also looks like someone beat me to this thread. Darn it!

I’m hoping that in the next century, we’ll develop the technology to move the Earth just enough that a year is 365 days exactly. We’ll get rid of that pesky leap day yet.
Also, we could straighten up the Earth’s tilt to near 90[sup]o[/sup] so that every sunrise is near 6:00 AM and sunset at 6:00 PM so that we don’t have to worry about daylight savings time.
