Happy to recycle my water bottle BUT...

Sounds like he wants to do the dishes. Why resist?

Paraphrasing Lemmy on man’s ability to destroy the planet:
“The earth is made of volcanoes. We aren’t going to destroy the earth, we’re just going to destroy that bit of it that we need.”

Because then I would have to dry them and put them away. That’s the deal, I wash, he dries and puts away.

One thing in this thread I remembered. It’s kind of a lenten observance, (I don’t take Lent very seriously but lately I use it as a way to focus on an aspect of my life)I have quit using my car for errands/chores less than a 20 minute walk away. The intent is to put the equivalent cash /gas expense into an environmental charity. The fact that it even tweaked my radar must mean I do it too often.

The whole crusade against bottled water makes me crazy. If I’m drinking a coca-cola, nobody bats an eyelash. Toxic sugar levels attacking my pancreas, acid attacking my teeth, other chemicals doing goodness knows what. . . but if I’m out and about, and I get thirsty, and grab something wholesome and healthy, I get dirty looks all around.

Bless their little hearts!

My car. Public trans. around here just isn’t reliable. I’m sorry, but I won’t leave the house an hour early every day just to save on gasoline. You take your life in your hands, I"m telling you!

Cheap goods shipped all the way from China. Some things I can wait a few weeks to get, so I get them from AliBaba - shipped straight from the factory at a 90% discount from the local retailer. So sue me. I’m an acquisition professional, I’m incapable of paying too much for things.

Amazon 2-day delivery. Other things I need right now demmit, and I’m not going out to the store unless I have to.

Well, that’s cool. I had pictured him walking through the kitchen and critiquing your dishwashing.
