Hi All! Just wanted to say thanks to all who offered advice on reformatting my hard drives… did it yesterday, with no small amount of fear, and all went well! I don’t seem to have lost anything, so I’m gonna call it a success!!

You have my admiration! Last time I did that I had the computer store do it, and they ended up taking a week destroying everything. And backups somehow don’t work for getting programs installed. A fine thing to find out after the fact. Every program had to be reinstalled.
