Hardcore is how I roll (Kindle related injury)

Yep, when I roll, I roll hardcore.

I got through 2.5 books this weekend (it was pretty slow around here):

Soccernomics
A Feast for Crows
and halfway through Necropolis: London and its Dead

And now I’ve got a blister on my thumb from click-click-clicking my little e-ink overlord’s “next page” button.

Respect it.

I feel your pain, brudda. I just looked at my archive the other day and I’ve read 50 books in the past nine months. Not all weighty tomes, to be sure, but still. . .

On a Kindle, they don’t weigh anything! :stuck_out_tongue:
Roddy

You think that’s bad? I got a paper cut.

I am chastened, sir.

I want a kindle, but their selection of good Sci Fi novels seems lacking… am I wrong?

Can’t answer that definitively

If you are curious, go to Amazon.com and browse specifically “kindle books”. See what’s there.

I won’t lie, there have been several times I’ve wanted a book and it’s not available for the Kindle.

On the other hand, reading on a Kindle is much more convenient than reading from a book - it’s lighter, I can easily carry around dozens of books, etc. Plus the books are cheaper than buying physical copies.

So there’re pluses and minuses. Probably similar for the Nook. Again, browse online to see what is available - if it seems good for you, I defintely recommend the Kindle. And hell, the Nook might be great as well. Haven’t used one, but I’m very much in the “pro-‘e-book’” camp.
