Hardee's - Animal Rights Group

I need to learn more about an animal rights group that sounds like “Hardees”. I’ve Googled every derrivation but haven’t had any luck. Has anyone ever heard of this group?

How do you know this group exists, chickendoc? Any additional information would be helpful.

I don’t know anything else other than what I originally posted. They may not exist, but the name came up in a conversation and I thought that I’d check it out. Sorry that I’m not more helpful.

Could it be Hamilton Animal Rights Defence (H.A.R.D) ?

I’m confused. Surely there’s more information than that, or was the conversation just:

“Heya, Bill, how’s it going?”
“Oh, hi, Chickendoc; good to see you! I ate some good chicken yesterday.”
“Did you? Well, betcha I doctored it up!”
(both chuckle)
“Good one, Doc! Say, have you heard of an animal rights group whose name sounds like Hardee’s?”
“Sure haven’t.”
“Well, I have. Gotta go!”

Any sort of context would help. My guess is that it’s a PETA takeoff on Hardee’s, like their Murder King, or Kentucky Fried Cruelty campaigns; but anything more informationally would help.

My field of expertise includes animal welfare and I try to keep up to date on what’s happening on both sides of the fence. I was asked if I knew anything about this group and didn’t so I’m doing a little searching.

There’s a local HAWA, the Haywood Animal Welfare Association. THat’s the best I got, but it ain’t much.
