Despite all that, i do think it’s a red flag that the admissions department apparently rates Asians lower on personality than the alumni do. But that’s a statistic that’s not visible to alumni interviewers. We only know who they accept (and wait list). I’ve certainly not, personally, seen stellar Asian kids passed over for mediocre white kids. Which doesn’t mean it isn’t happening in the aggregate, but no, that’s not anything I’ve ever seen.
