Surprised of what, exactly? Just curious if another one of your senseless dodges of a post might actually have some mangled meaning.
Sigh. That’s what you want to believe. You have no evidence for it, of course, and logic, proof, and occam’s razor all suggest otherwise, but what Alex Dubinsky wants to believe is far more powerful than all of those, isn’t it?
Ummm, I posted a video upthread that shows it. You’re not really into clicking hyperlinks, are you?
Wait, what? Are you seriously accusing me of dodging your hard-hitting questions in response to me pointing out that you dodged a simple question? Seriously?
You claimed that the trooth isn’t anti-semitic, so I pointed out that someone made up the demonstrably false claims about Larry Silverstein and asked you why. You chose not to answer. I said I wasn’t surprised. Now that I’ve reiterated the question, I still won’t be surprised if you continue not to answer. In fact I fully expect you to somehow accuse me of not answering the question.
Most links I click, but that one slipped me. The attempt to time the collapse is very interesting, I must say, but that video shows almost nothing of this supposed standing core.
Oh, I thought “don’t want to answer” was about yourself (to which I thought you had some nerve). Ok then. Well, what exactly am I supposed to answer? Which claims are you talking about? But even if they are all demonstrably false, the ‘why’ is pretty obvious. They make a good narrative?
You realize Larry Silverstein has suffered relentless harassment due to this, don’t you? I don’t know if he still has to do this but at one point he had to hire bodyguards to escort him from his car to his office because people would be waiting for him when he got to work to yell at him and throw stuff at him. That’s worth it to you, for “a good narrative”?
Is that all the trooth is to you? An exciting story? Do you realize how offensive this exciting fantasy is to the victims’ families, firemen, etc?
Claim: “Pull it” is demolition slang. Denied by everyone in the demolitions industry. Preposterous beyond belief that he would admit it in an interview, even if it was true. But this is still plastered all over trooth websites and repeated by troothers on messageboards every day. Who made this up, and why?
Claim: Silverstein profited from 9/11. Widely known to be false at this point as a matter of fact and public record, yet the trooth still promotes this fabricated claim to this day. Who made this up, and why?
How do you know almost none of them put the blame on Israel / teh Jews? It’s not like they’re a big enough proportion that their effect could be seen on those surveys. Heck, ever single Truther could have said “teh Jews” and it wouldn’t have made a blip on that survey, because there just aren’t many Truthers out there.
Video of the North Tower core still standing:

There’s another of the South Tower out there somewhere. The fact is, the initial collapses damaged the cores of the buildings but didn’t take them out completely.
The terrorists want to terrorize and in that they have been extremely successful. The reaction was exactly what the terrorists had hoped for. The cost to the American economy has been phenomenal. The airlines have been mentioned. The airlines and tourism in America have not recovered and this was while the rest of the world had a huge tourism boom. America managed to keep travellers away with all the paranoia and security theater. That was caused not by the terrorists but by America’s reaction. While the world continues on with their lives America is spending millions in creating obstacles to the normal functioning of business. The terrorists succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
Oh and by the way, sixteen people survived, who were in the North Tower stairwell. The stairwell is inside the core.
And a bomb-sniffing dog died. You know, one of the bomb-sniffing dogs that treuthers claim were removed.
I first heard of Larry Silverstein from the 911 Mysteries video
I’m not vouching for the veracity of this video, but I wondered what else Siverstein could have meant when he said what he did. I don’t know if these guys made this up or not; or if they did, why.
It is more conspiracy fare. That’s the thread.
It’s been explained thoroughly. It is kind of akward wording, but he was saying they should get the firefighters out of there. In the context of the quote, (para.) "there’s been so much loss of life today, we might as well pull it), demolition doesn’t even fit. Was he saying, “a lot of people have died today, so let’s blow this building up”?
