Has anyone ever had the Navy's Diving Physical

I so, what all did it involve? and when did you have it? I’m mostly wondering about the vision/eye exam part of it.

All help is appreciated.

I have never gone through the diving physical, but I do know what it consists of.
The eye sight aspect of it is this:

Eyesight cannot be worse than 20/40 in one eye and 20/70 in the other. It must be correctable to 20/20 with no color blindness.

Thanks, I have read through the Navy’s manual on the subject (NAVMED available at http://www.vnh.org/Admin/MMD/001Contents.html)) if anyone cares.

It answered some of my questions. I just wanted to know how much they LOOK at your eyes (a quick glance or an intense screening). I get the impression that they are more concerned with whether or not your ears can handle the pressure changes or not.

Anyways thanks for the help.

Dammit, just when I was going to add something to it, the board goes under maintenance.

Anyway, the physical varies on the type of diving job. The classifications are: Second Class Diver, First Class Diver, Saturation Diver, and Master Diver. There are also SPECWAR communities that dive, such as Explosive Ordnance Disposal and UDT/SEAL. The requirements I listed above are for SPECWAR.

So, in other words, the requirements differ from job to job.
