I inherited my dad’s watch when he passed away in 1996. But it’s only recently that I’ve begun wearing it on a regular basis.
I’ve taken it to a couple of jewelers to get it checked and appraised. But everyone I’ve shown it to says they’ve never heard of the brand.
I Googled the brand name and came up with this: CYMA watches.
Apparently they’re high-end Swiss watches. This watch was given to my dad in 1954 when he was installed as Worshipful Master of a Masonic lodge. It has the Masonic square and compass with the “G” logo in the center, and is very thin, with a no-wind mechanism (the watch says “Automatic”).
But I’ve never heard of Cyma. Can anyone give me an idea if this is a major company? I love the watch, but it needs work and the two watch repairmen I took it to wouldn’t touch it.
And I’ve already filled out the “contact me” info on the website. I’m simply wondering if anyone else has had experience with this brand.
Any help out there?
