At my camp they used to play a game called Dynamite. I’ve never come across it anywhere else.
The game took place on the swingsets in the playground. The people on the swings would toss around a stick- the Dynamite. When the Dynamite “exploded”, the person the Dynamite was nearest to was out, and the next person on line would replace him.
The crowd in front of the swingsets did the count down. “One, two, three, screw the bumblebee! One dynamite, two dynamite, three dynamite… … …twenty dynamite- KABOOM!”
I only played it once (and lost immediately- I don’t have the agility to pick up a stick from the ground while swinging). But it was a major institution at camp. All throughout lunch time, there’d be a long line of people waiting for their turns.
