I’m not expecting a masterpiece, I’m just wondering if it’s worth sitting through for an hour and a half while I ogle the goddess that is Elisha Cuthbert.

My wife and I saw it last night. It was enjoyable, but certainly not an Oscar contender.
Many similarities to Risky Business, although I wouldn’t go so far as to say it is the same movie.
My biggest complaint that for a movie so obviously about “sex” it had little nudity. :o There was some (like one scene in a stripper bar, where one or two background dancers were topless, but in a joke invloving a close up of two people each getting lap dances, the lap dancers were both wearing bikini tops and bottoms.
If you want to be critical, the movie plot points don’t stand up to critical thinking afterwards. You are made to think certain things are happening, and then it turns out that it was something different than you thought. In retrospect, however, many things leading you to think the “wrong thing” don’t make sense in retrospect.
But this is not the kind of movie you should be thinking critically about. It is just frothy entertainment, and enjoyable at that level.
I haven’t seen it yet. (Don’t know when we’ll get it here. Could be another month.
) Although previews tend to terrible when it comes to representing a movie, it reminds me of a 1980s-era teen “sexcapade” film. I hope it managed to capture some of the magic that made those films so enjoyable. Although based on richardb’s comments, it sounds like it did take a bit of a hit from today’s over-sensitive film industry. I’ll still be seeing it though.
Anyhoo…
I thought it was enjoyable, pretty darn funny really. And although the bikini-topped strippers are a weird moment, there is plenty of Cuthbert ogling to be had (no more than a couple side-boob flashes from her, though).
Ooooo, she is hot. I remember her playing the little vixen in Old School and lying on the bed in those pink panties. Edible.
