The commercials promote an app that tracks all your bills, and possibly finances, with the bait being not only can you track all your bills and more from one source, but you can also detect where you might be getting screwed.
I have like 6 bank accounts, 3 utilities, multiple tax bills and how many streaming and cable subscriptions so this on the surface sounds like a dream to me.
On the flip side, I’m concerned about security and how much effort it will take for me, if safe, to enter all my info on this app.
Has anyone tried it, and how is it working out for you?
An App like that could only work with information you provide. For example your name and account number for the Gas and Electric bills. Same thing for credit cards.
The App would need a payment source. Your banking account, paypal or whatever you use.
I’d have a lot of privacy concerns. YMMV
I have not tried it, but have been using the desktop version of Quicken for about thirty years to manage my finances. At one point this was the flagship and first product for Intuit but it became so insignificant for them that they sold it a couple of years ago. They still have another finance program called Mint, which sounds similar to what you describe of Truebill and is, I think, more established.
