Has anyone used an iPod while running?

I’m in the market for an mp3 player, and of course the iPod is near the top of my list. It has a hefty price tag, but the amount of storage is unbeatable. That said, however, I need something I can use while exercising. The iPod has a lot of memory in it to provide skip protection, but as always, the proof is in the pudding: has anyone out there in Doperland actually used one while running? Does it work? Thanks!
