I think Knox’s murder was being pinned on an “unidentified colored man” (or however it was phrased) with the implication that it could be massaged to fit Narcisse himself or one of his men and in any event be used as a pretense to get Narcisse deported, unless he turns into an FBI informant about Garvey.
And I gather Eli’s off to Chicago in part because Nucky couldn’t quite bring himself to kill him.
You’re right, I wouldn’t read a thread entitled “Current Season of Boardwalk Empire Discussion Thread” for the reasons noted above. Also, there’s often a months-long delay between a show airing in the US and finally making its way to Australia. It’s one of the reasons I don’t usually participate in “Current TV Show” threads here, because by the time the show’s available here, none of you guys care anymore (or said whatever you were going to say on it six months previously).
My understanding was this thread was going to be about people saying “I stopped watching after the last season/ haven’t really been following it this season…”, not “Let’s talk about all the significant plot developments of the current season.”
But once again, since no-one’s going to agree with me, I’ll leave you all to discuss the show in peace.
That was my impression too until post 43, when I realized this was going to be the de facto season thread. If you’re complaining about post 43, fair enough. If you’re complaining about any spoiler on page 2, shame on you for not reading the thread first.
It is indeed sad to see my favorite character, Richard, go. I really think it was a necessity after the mistake in the club. I think he was one of the few – if not the only – character with a real conscience, and his unforced error would have destroyed him mentally.
